The “Sustainable Development in the Aegean” project rolled out on a pilot basis in March 2005 with the commencement of the Action for Raising Sustainable Development Awareness in Serifos. Between September 2006 and September 2006 similar projects were launched in Sifnos, Amorgos and Antiparos.
